JAMES ‘KENNETH’ BRISTOW

James “Kenneth” Bristow, age 72, of Tappahannock, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.

He was a longtime member of Beale Memorial Baptist Church, and beloved member of his hometown.

Kenneth was warm, loving, and compassionate and was a calm gentle presence to all he met. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and participated in many charitable fundraisers.

After 46 years of providing architectural services to his community, his designs can be found in homes, businesses, and churches all over the Middle Peninsula and Northern Neck areas.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Bristow; two children, Richard Bristow (Sharon) and Lori Bristow (Douglas Caffrey); grandchildren, Phillip Bristow, Cole Bristow, and Kayleigh Bristow; great-grandchild, Grayson James Bristow; siblings, Garland Bristow and Joanne Hess.

Memorial services were held Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Beale Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. David W. Donahue conducting.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Priscilla Bristow, P.O. Box 33, Tappahannock, Va. 22560, to assist the family in acquiring a wheelchair for his son, Richard, whom Kenneth cared for deeply.
