James “Jimmy” Arnold Morris of Little Plymouth, our special angel here on earth, departed from his earthly toils on July 21, 2025, to join his loving family members who preceded him in death. We know he is now in heaven with them, and it brings joy and comfort to our hearts. He is no longer suffering, fearful, or in pain. What a blessing to know he is at peace and with our Savior. Born on October 29, 1971, Jimmy was the 10th child of Esau Ray and Florence Smith Morris. In his 53 years he has brought much joy, love, companionship, and faith to all who loved him and to those he met. He never met a stranger. An avid Redskins fan and wrestling fan, never accepting the ’Skins change in name. Jimmy was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Florence Morris; grandmother, Sudie Morris (whom he adored); brother, David; sister-in-law, Doris; brother, Paul, and nephew, Everett Rich. He is survived by his family, Ruth Carlton (William Davis), Mary Rich (Jerry), Bonnie Morris, Jessie McGrath (Joe), Seabrook Morris (Sarah), Barbara Prince (Chris), Billy Morris (Marcey), Joe Morris (Lori), and many treasured nieces and nephews. A funeral was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Lower King & Queen Baptist Church, 204 Timber Branch Road, Mascot, Va. 23108. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
