A funeral for James “Jim” Richardson, 61, of Hayes, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 10 in Lighthouse Worship Center, Hayes. He died July 6, 2016.
A resident of Gloucester County since 2001, he was born on July 17, 1954 in Newport News, and was a 1972 graduate of York High School. He attended the Apprentice School from 1975-1980 and was a Master Shipbuilder with Newport News Shipbuilding. He was a member of Lighthouse Worship Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Slim and Rose Richardson, and his brother, David Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Jeralyn Richardson; his daughters, Suzanne Jenkins and Amy Rivongkham; his son, James Richardson II; his stepdaughter, Charlotte Trotter; his stepson, John Jacob Smuda; his brother, Carl Richardson, and seven grandchildren.
Interment followed in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery.
