James (Jeff) Jeffress Jordan died Aug. 27, 2018 in Clearwater, Florida.  

He was born in Newport News on July 4, 1955, and was the son of William Manson and Jean Hill Jordan. He grew up in Newport News and Gloucester.

He graduated from Hampton Roads Academy and Christopher Newport College. 

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Barron Jordan of Clearwater; his brothers, William Manson and Bert Moore Jordan, and his sisters, Claudia Jordan Scherillo and Wendy Jordan Kennedy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
