JAMES E. JENKINS

James E. “Frog” Jenkins, 64, a lifetime resident of Severn, passed away after a short battle with lung cancer, peacefully at his home on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, surrounded by his family.

Frog spent most of his life as a local waterman. He was also very well known over the years as a talented wood craftsman.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Andrew Jenkins; mother, Mary Emily Jenkins, and brother, William A. Jenkins Jr.

Left to love and miss him, but always cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 42 years, Angela; daughter, Tina J. Tomlin and husband Jody of Richmond; son, Greg Jenkins of Hayes; two precious granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Kamryn Tomlin, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. Clyde Dalton were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Gloucester Point Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family extends a special thank-you to Peninsula Cancer Institute and Riverside Walter Reed Hospice for their loving concern and care. You truly touched his heart!
