Jacqueline S. Cottingham of Hayes, departed this life on June 3, 2015 at the age of 66.

Jacquie was a retired Gloucester County Public School educator from Achilles Elementary School. She was a member of Abingdon Episcopal Church and an active member of the church choir. Jacquie shared her singing and instrumental talents as part of various musical groups throughout her life. She was also a talented seamstress. Jacquie loved her family, and always had a warm smile for everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her son, G. Russell Cottingham IV, and her father, John F. Spurling.

She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Cottingham and husband Matthew Kopac; son, Bruce Cottingham; mother, Marian L. Spurling; grandsons, Evan and Elijah Kopac; sisters, Leslie Sawyer, Julie Hitch and Patricia Zeran, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kathleen V. Price was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at Abingdon Episcopal Church. Inurnment followed in the church cemetery. The family had a reception following the service at the Church Parish House.
