Jacqueline Livesay Young of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was born Feb. 16, 1923 in Hudgins, Va., to Nell and Boyd Dixon. She died April 26, 2016. Jackie was loved by all who knew her. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Livesay Sr., and husband, Joseph S. Young; her son, John F. Livesay Jr.; grandson, John F. Livesay III; sister, Mary Bland Parker, and brother, Bill Dixon. 

She is survived by her brother, John Waverly Dixon; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Michael Peteler; daughter-in-law, Patty L. Livesay; grandsons, Matthew and Michael Peteler; great-grandson, Phillip Peteler and stepson Roger Young, all of whom she loved dearly.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. Visitation was one hour prior to the service also at Foster-Faulkner. Burial followed at H.C. Smither Cemetery, Hudgins, Va.
