JACK LEE BITTING

Jack Lee Bitting, 86, of Shiremanstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by his family at the Locust Grove Retirement Center.

Jack was born in Marysville, Pennsylvania, on July 4, 1931 to the late Burkey E. Bitting and Annie (Weaver). Jack honorably served his country during the Korean War from 1951-1955 in the U.S. Navy. Before his retirement, Jack worked as a conductor for Conrail and was a member of the VFW in Marysville and the American Legion in Duncannon. 

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Jean Hummel and Hester Bitting, and his three brothers, Glenn Bitting, Robert Bitting and Boyd Bitting.

Surviving are his loving wife, Martha (Carpenter) Bitting; his son, Robert L. Bitting and his significant other Judy of Etters; his two daughters, Jacqueline L. Michael and her husband Edward of Shiremanstown, and Kimm B. Dellinger and her husband H.R. of Gloucester, Virginia; his six grandchildren, and his 13 great-grandchildren.
