‘It’s about time’ as 389 graduate from GHS

“It’s about time,” Gloucester High School principal Nate Collins told the GHS Class of 2015 Saturday morning at William and Mary Hall in Williamsburg. “But it’s also about time. Time is precious, don’t waste it. To each of you, go find your path and make your mark.”

The principal’s remarks came before he handed diplomas to 389 graduates during the 62nd annual GHS commencement. They included class valedictorian Hannah Killian, who will attend the University of Mary Washington, and salutatorian Caitlin Cain, who is headed to Virginia Commonwealth University.

Killian said that family had been indispensable throughout the graduates’ education, along with friends and teachers. “It’s not about where you are in life but how you got there,” she said “It all started in Gloucester. Never forget where you came from.”
