A Virginia Department of Transportation crew was in the process of repairing a section of Old Ferry Road on Gwynn’s Island Tuesday morning. The seawall had degraded and eroded the roadbed underneath it, so VDOT tore out the damaged sections and is repairing it with newly installed riprap.
