The Ware Academy softball team defeated Aylett Country Day School, 17-3, on May 11 to become the Independent School Athletic Conference (ISAC) champions after falling to Aylett twice during the regular season. During the match, Layla Vance drove in four runs on three hits to lead Ware to victory. Charlee Bellinger, Anna Foster, Elise Elliott and Lydia Hurst all added RBIs, while Bellinger and Arabella Thorne both recorded multiple hits. Elliott earned the win by pitching seven strikeouts. Ware finished the game with 12 hits and eight walks.
