Irving West Jr., 88, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.

Mr. West, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, was a self-employed contractor and proud member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Wanda West; his daughter, Tammy Cato; three sons, Thomas West, James Pat West (Ginnie) and Roy West; sister, Patricia Riddle; brother, Carlton Lee West; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and other loving family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irving Sr. and Irene West of Severn, and his daughter, Wanda and her husband Jeff Weeks.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 in Jacksonville.
