IRS explains changes to clean vehicle tax credits

The Internal Revenue Service has summarized changes to clean vehicle tax credits in a new sheet of Frequently Asked Questions.

According to the IRS, the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 made several changes to the new clean vehicle credit for qualified plug-in electric drive motor vehicles, including adding fuel cell vehicles. The act also added a credit for previously owned and commercial clean vehicles, the IRS said.
