The Irene Morgan Grant Committee sponsored two assemblies for eighth graders at Page and Peasley middle schools. The students were told about who Irene Morgan was and the role she played in Gloucester County’s African American history. Jaidyn Forrest, a Gloucester High School graduate and senior at Christopher Newport University, spoke at both assemblies.
