IRENE M. MOCLAIR

Irene M. Moclair, 75, of Smithfield, wife of the late David Ignatius Moclair, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, after an extended illness.

Born in the New York, N.Y., Irene lived many years in the James Store area of Gloucester County and in Hampton, before moving to Isle of Wight 17 years ago to live with family. Irene studied accounting and worked for private companies before becoming a self-employed tax consultant and advisor.

In her retirement, Irene enjoyed drawing for her own passions and for family members. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Smithfield.

A beloved mother and grandmother, Irene is survived by two daughters, Denise A. Moclair of Hampton and Jeanne A. Bolt, and husband Gary, of Smithfield; two sons, Mark D. Moclair, and wife Emilse of Florida, and David J. Moclair of Smithfield, and five grandchildren.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 2, in Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 300 Smithfield Blvd., with the Rev. Fr. Piotr Bialkowski officiating. Burial followed in St. Luke’s Memorial Park.
