IRA HANSFORD HALL

Ira “Bubba Hall” Hansford Hall, 74, of Gloucester, died April 30, 2015 at his home.

He attended Union Baptist Church, and was a master carpenter working for W.M. Jordan Company. Bubba was an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed golfing and gardening. Out of all his endeavors in life, his favorite accomplishments were his children. His family will always remember him as a loving man with a great strength of character.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth “Ann” Hall; daughters, Rita Gibson and husband Michael, Kathy Shackelford, Jo Anne Parks and husband Gerald, and Kim Ashberry and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Michael Gibson Jr., Ryan Gibson, Jeffrey Shackelford, Matthew Shackelford and Samantha Ashberry; and sisters, Patricia Cottee, Norma Jean Flippin and Brenda Bristow.

Funeral service conducted by the Rev. Richard Whiteheart was held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2015, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Entombment followed at Windsor Gardens Mausoleum. The family received friends Sunday, May 3, 2015, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
