Inzunza named 2014 Duke of the Year

Gloucester High School senior Diego Inzunza was recently selected by the school faculty as the 2014 GHS Duke of the Year. 

“Duke of the Year embodies the very principles and ideals of student citizenship,” according to a release from the school. “In fact, Duke of the Year honorees have demonstrated the kind of leadership and values we as teachers and administrators strive to instill in all students.”

“He’s one of those kids that will do anything to help his team out, or to help his teammates out,” said Gloucester head football coach Brandon Kelley. “He’s a model student. He’s been a good leader on and off the field as well.” Kelley said during the summer off-season, Inzunza would lift weights while helping and encouraging the younger or less experienced kids who were also working out.
