Interesting recipes for your file

When all the Christmas and New Year dinings have ended and it’s time to get back to some good old basic cooking, you may want to try these recipes. The Central Village Homemakers of Mathews have again graciously shared their cooking talents with our readers, and recipes used from their own Christmas dining earlier this month.

 

But sharing is something they have been doing throughout the years, ever since their beginning in 1976. This homemaker club is one of two out of seven originals still active, with a membership of 25.

 

Also, the Central Village Homemakers are a vital part of this community. In just 2013 they have contributed to at least 15 service organizations and charities in Mathews County including Meals on Wheels, Triad, Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, Christmas Blessing Fund, and the Senior Center.
