Input sought on Gloucester’s capital needs

Gloucester County is seeking public comment on its fiscal year 2019-2023 capital improvement requests.

The document with the requests is available on the county website, www.gloucesterva.info. Hard copies are available at both public libraries, the county’s finance department and the county administrator’s office. Public input is welcome through Feb. 6, 2018.

“The CIP is one of the most significant planning processes for Gloucester County and Gloucester County Public Schools,” said county spokesperson Christi Lewis. “The plan identifies capital needs over a specified period timeframe and is a planning tool for major facility and infrastructure investments.”

She said the plan sets forth future needs and priorities in accordance with anticipated funding sources, growth and the community’s ability to pay.
