In death, 19-year-old gives gift of life to others

    

The loss of a child is unimaginable to most of us. But when faced with that unimaginable loss over the Christmas holidays, Kristie Askew of Gloucester and Edwin Sulc of Prince George turned their grief into generosity and donated their 19-year-old daughter’s organs to help save other people’s children.

Brianna Nicole Sulc was a bright, friendly, hardworking young lady who was always generous with her time and talents, said Edwin Sulc. In spite of the fact that Brianna was quiet and reserved, said Askew, she was always paying attention to everything around her.

Brianna was also very athletic, and she loved to run and to swim. She was on the swim team at Gloucester High School, and continued to practice even after she graduated. She loved to participate in the annual family fun run at the Daffodil Festival.
