Ice cream, bluegrass music featured at next Summer Nights Market

What better way to spend a summer evening than to hang out, listen to music and eat ice cream?

You can enjoy that experience next Wednesday, June 25, at the Gloucester Main Street Association’s Summer Nights Market, which is being held from 4:30-7 p.m. each Wednesday in June, July and August on Carriage Court behind the Gloucester Museum of History.

Next Wednesday’s market will be an ice cream social, presented by local business Short Lane Ice Cream in Gloucester, which was recently named “Best Local Ice Cream” in Virginia Living Magazine’s Best of Virginia awards, said Ashley Gilmartin, executive director of the Gloucester Main Street Association. A free scoop of ice cream (limit one per customer) will be given away while supplies last that night.
