I Choose Life, Inc., an office-based addiction treatment clinic, opened on May 24 at Town Center in Mathews.

Licensed Professional Counselor-Resident Kristie Sprouse, who holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University, said she’s been working in addiction for 15 years. Her colleague in the business is LPN Danielle Wilson.

The two women, working in collaboration with board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Debra Moore-Zierow, owner of both I Choose Life, Inc., and of The Changing Tide in Mathews, said they offer individual and group therapy, medication for substance use disorder, education and prevention services, case management, support groups, and continuing care to help clients maintain their recovery. There are even yoga classes.

“We’re an interdisciplinary team,” said Sprouse. “We offer a holistic approach to help an individual change and get directed back into the community.”
