Hutson to lead Gloucester board in 2018

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors unanimously elected Gloucester Point district representative Chris Hutson to lead the board for 2018 during its meeting Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse. At-large representative Ashley Chriscoe was unanimously elected as vice chair of the governing body.

Hutson thanked his fellow board members for instilling the confidence in him to elect him to lead the board for the coming year. “I hope to do what’s best for the county and look forward to the next year,” he said.

Hutson, first elected in 2011, is serving his second term on the board. A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, he received his master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He currently owns his own trucking company and works in the metal recycling industry.
