The Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society will hold its annual Holiday Open House from 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the shelter on Jackson Lane, south of Gloucester village.

People are invited to meet Santa Claus and enjoy refreshments, holiday games and prizes. There will be a Furry Angel Tree and a holiday cookie sale. Cookies will be sold for $8 for one dozen; $15 for two dozen. ...
