Every year, Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society’s Humane Business Partners helps our organization make the dream of saving even more lives a reality with their friendship and support. Their collective efforts help make ours a lifesaving community, and we are profoundly grateful for the many ways they choose to champion the cause of homeless pets and the GMHS mission.
As valued stakeholders, Humane Business Partners actively works to ensure GMHS has the resources necessary to provide the temporary shelter, compassionate care, outreach and education for all those we serve from the Middle Peninsula to the Northern Neck and beyond. Their partnership is a powerful and public statement about the degree to which our community values pets and our collective willingness to extend care and compassion to all those in need.

Their financial and in-kind contributions help GMHS maintain our status as a lifesaving shelter with a 96 percent live-release rate. Their engagement helps to ensure homeless pets in our care are never euthanized for space or length of stay and have the second chance to lead the lives filled with dignity and respect they each deserve.
Humane Business Partners hosts fundraisers and inspires those with a heart for homeless animals to donate pet food and supplies, an invaluable service as GMHS feeds those in our care and distributes pet food through our Pet Pantry. Their event sponsorship offsets event expenses, maximizing revenue to the benefit of homeless pets and funding daily operations.
GMHS is fortunate to count several local veterinary practices among our Humane Business Partners. Dedicated teams provide first-rate veterinary care and services for homeless pets, treating their illnesses and healing their injuries in preparation for adoption into their forever homes.
