Hudgins appointed principal at Botetourt

The Gloucester School Board promoted Botetourt Elementary assistant principal Felicia “Tish” Hudgins to the position of Botetourt principal, effective July 1, during its May 19 work session at the T.C. Walker Education Center. 

Hudgins has served as the assistant principal at Botetourt for the past two years and was an elementary teacher for Gloucester Public Schools for 23 years, with stints at Petsworth, T.C. Walker and Botetourt. 

Hudgins holds a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree in early childhood education, both from James Madison University, and a master’s degree in education administration from the College of William and Mary. She is also certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
