Hubbard earns a measure of redemption

The last time Billy Hubbard of Cobbs Creek, came across the finish line as winner in the Victory Lap Pro Late Models at Virginia Motor Speedway in Middlesex, the win was taken away due to being three pounds light at the scales.

This time around, Hubbard would clear scales and score a measure of redemption with a convincing win over Justin Williams of Concord. Hubbard would grab the lead on the opening lap and then had to survive several restarts before taking the win on Saturday night.

“This feels really good to get back to victory lane after what happened at the last race; we were light and that’s the rules but we learned something and hopefully it means good things for us the rest of the season,” Hubbard said.
