Howard Day, 66, of Hayes, passed away on June 13, 2017 in Globe, Arizona.

Howard Day was born in Oakland, California, to Alfred Day Jr. and Theresa Kamb Day on Sept. 2, 1950.

He was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended Electrical Apprenticeship School. He married Janice Davis Day in Hampton on Jan. 22, 1972. He worked as an Electrician/Welder for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) for 45 years.

He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Hayes. Howard was preceded in death by Theresa Kamb Day and Alfred P. Day Jr. of Williamsburg.

 Howard is survived by his wife, Janice Davis Day; his son, Shaun H. Day and daughter-in-law Lauren Day of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; daughter, Angela Day Waliszewski and son-in-law Jacek Waliszewski of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Larry Day and wife Sybille of Yorktown; sister, Paula Nieto and husband David Nieto of Williamsburg; sister, Linda Day Maines and husband David Maines of Charles City, and his grandchildren, Aiden and Harrison Waliszewski and Addison and Liam Day.

The family of Howard Day wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Union Brotherhood that was his second family, and to all his friends over the years.
