Brenda Dixon, president of the Gloucester Branch of the NAACP, received the first Sisters in the Spirit Ministries HOPE Award, presented by SIS treasurer Ronald L. Brown. The presentation of $100 and a framed certificate took place at Shepherdsville Baptist Church on Sept. 12. Dixon was recognized for mobilizing COVID-19 vaccination clinics. HOPE stands for Helping Others with Purpose and Empowerment....
