Honoring local veterans

Quite a crowd gathered Sunday afternoon at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial in front of the courthouse for a wreath-laying ceremony in celebration of Veterans Day, which was formally recognized Tuesday as a national holiday. Sunday’s ceremony, which was hosted by the Marine Corps League Middle Peninsula Detachment #1317, also included a color guard from the Gloucester High School NJROTC, the playing of the anthems of the branches of the military and comments from detachment commander Beau Felder.
