Homecoming Friday at Mathews High School

Homecoming will be celebrated at Mathews High School on Friday with a parade through town, the homecoming football game and the crowning of a king and queen.
The parade will begin at 4 p.m. at Thomas Hunter Middle School and wind its way through the Court House, ending at MHS. Among those participating will be this year’s homecoming court: seniors Josey Bauby, Casey Kelly, Gracie West, Glen Alexander, Stuart Anderson and Jordan Bozza; juniors Jolie Ewell, Lauren Ryan, Olen Bass and Jarius Monroe; sophomores Betsy Barnett, Caroline Crittenden, Seth Duncan and Tyler Moore; and freshmen Lauren Dalton, Raven Schlosshan, Patrick Blake and Jovan Johnson.
The homecoming court will also be introduced at halftime of the Mathews-King William varsity football game, which begins at 7 p.m. at the school’s Ken Brown Field. At this time, a king and queen will be crowned from among the senior court members.
