Holy Week observances continue

In Gloucester

The Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist continues its Holy Week services at 7 p.m. through Friday in First Baptist Church, Ordinary. Communion will be held tonight.

Pastors are asked to wear robes, deacons wear black, and deaconesses, white.

Speakers will include: today, the Rev. Ward Warren of First Baptist, and Friday, the Rev. Darrell Hudson of Morning Glory Baptist, Gloucester.

 

In Mathews

The Mathews County Christian Ministerial Association continues its annual Holy Week services at noon through Good Friday at Westville Christian Church, Mathews.

The 30-minute service will include a brief message, congregational singing and special music each day. 

Speakers will include: today, the Rev. Gary Barker and Friday, the Rev. Dede Parrish. Special music will be presented by Barker on Thursday, and Suzi Maloney on Friday.
