Holly Knoll to host Christmas Open House benefit for Ware Circle

The Ware River Circle of The King’s Daughters and Sons will hold its 33rd annual Christmas Open House on Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Holly Knoll on the York River.

Holly Knoll is the headquarters of the Gloucester Institute and former site of the Moton Conference Center, and retirement home of Dr. Robert Russa Moton who had been president of Tuskegee Institute.

Four sessions for “A Gloucester Institute—Moton Center at Holly Knoll Christmas!” are planned: at noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Tickets are $35, and may be purchased through the Ware River Circle’s Facebook page or by calling by calling 804-815-1915.

Proceeds support the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and other KDS local charities. The Ware circle is working toward designation as a major donor of $100,000 or more at the hospital’s new mental health hospital and outpatient center in Norfolk, a release said.
