HITW appeal continued

An appeal of the violation notice and correction order against the Hole in the Wall Waterfront Grill on Gwynn’s Island has been continued.

The case had been scheduled to be heard on Wednesday, April 19, by the Mathews County Board of Zoning Appeals. Mathews Planning and Zoning Director James Knighton said the continuance was requested by the applicant and that no date has been set yet for the BZA to hear the appeal.

A second case that was slated for Wednesday has been withdrawn by the applicant, said Knighton. Mark Hill of Midlothian had requested an exception to the zoning ordinance in order to reduce the 100-foot resource protection area buffer to 67.2 feet so he could install an in-ground pool and concrete walkway.
