Hilda M. Rowe, age 97, of Gwynn’s Island, died on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilson Rowe, and a son, Gerald H. Rowe.

She is survived by her son, Eddie W. Rowe and wife Jessie of Gwynn’s Island; three grandchildren, Timothy B. Rowe and wife Kathy of Gwynn’s Island, Linda Gamache and husband Jim of Massachusetts, and Betty Sue Martin and husband Bill of Hayes; five great-grandchildren and one very special great-great grandson.

The family received friends on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, from 2-3 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews. Funeral services were held in the funeral home chapel at 3 p.m. following the visitation. Interment followed at Gwynn’s Island Cemetery.
