Herman D. Sears, 82, of Welaka, Florida, passed into the presence of His Heavenly Father on Aug. 12, 2020 after a brief illness. Mr. Sears retired in 1995 as a millwright with Chesapeake Paper Corporation in West Point, Virginia. He served Gloucester County as a volunteer fireman for 26 years, was a licensed Ham radio operator (KI4NJT) and participated in various churches and charitable works in the area. He moved to Florida in 2016. He is survived by his wife, Jackie, of Welaka; his sister, Shirley Boyer; daughters, Karen Dale Walton, Ruth Ann Dunn, Janet Lynn Fulford and their respective families, all of whom reside in the Gloucester area of Virginia; also, sons, Brian W. Bosley of St. Augustine and Michael S. Bosley of Plano, Texas, and their families. A family memorial service has been held in Virginia.
