A funeral service for Herbert Brown Jr. of Gloucester, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, in Zion Poplars Baptist Church. He passed on Monday, July 15, 2019.

He was a member of Zion Poplars Baptist Church, and a retiree of Dominion Virginia Power.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Alice L. Jackson Brown; son, Ahmad Brown; daughter, Yvette Howard (Harold); siblings, Louis Brown (Hortense) and Lovie Brown; grandchildren, Savonne B. and Damian G. Howard; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Brown may be viewed on Friday from 5-7 p.m. at Zion Poplars Baptist Church. He will lie in repose on Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
