Joan Henley is president of Henley Cabinetry, Inc., founded in 2014 and located at 10880 General Puller Highway, Suite 1, in Hartfield.

Henley, a native of Richmond, and her husband Jay purchased a building supply company in 1976, selling in 2010. Joan said she was “soon yearning to get back into her design work” thus the cabinetry company was organized.

Henley Cabinetry offers kitchen and bath design, sales and installation, along with renovations. “Our work ethic is ‘one kitchen at a time’ attention and service,” Joan said. Her firm, a family business, relies upon other family-owned companies such as Wood Mode, Brookhaven, Plain & Fancy, and Mouser for cabinet construction.

The Henley company puts the pieces together through whole design advice, lighting, countertops and tile, and appliance and flooring evaluations. “Helping clients select what is correct for their comfortable living is very important,” Henley said.

Joan and Jay have a deep appreciation for everything that Middlesex offers, especially the rural and river surroundings, friendly schools, and a supportive church. Their journey has brought them to celebrate what Henley Cabinetry is now: “Backed by highly competent installers, a creative staff, and true pleasure with each job completed, the business has grown by bounds until this sixth anniversary,” she said.
