Help sought with grant

The Fairfield Foundation is seeking donations for its share of a $348,000 Transportation Enhancement grant, administered by the Virginia Department of Transportation. The grant will be used to complete the restoration of the Edge Hill Service Station, creating a center for historic preservation in the community. "We need to raise $96,000 to match the $384,000 grant, meaning every dollar you give results in nearly $5 towards the restoration of the Edge Hill Service Station," said Fairfield Foundation co-director Dave Brown (shown here at left with co-director Thane Harpole). "With your valuable help, we anticipate opening the restored preservation center to the public in 2014," Brown added. For more information, visit www.fairfieldfoundation.org.
