Helga Renate Casey, 88, of Yorktown/Gloucester, died on Oct. 23, 2018 at Gloucester House.

Mrs. Casey was born in Berlin, Germany, to Karl and Grete Reichhardt. She was married to SGM Michael Casey for 61 years.

Mrs. Casey was a devoted wife and mother who traveled with her husband and children throughout Europe and the United States as he served in the U.S. Army. Her husband, SGM Michael Casey; son, James Casey; her parents, and three brothers preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Patricia Casey and Eileen Kersmarki (Richard); grandchildren, Kelly Hall (Mark) and Richard Kersmarki II (Polly); great-grandchildren, Grace and Eileen Hall and Edward Kersmarki, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Mrs. Casey will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery where she will be interred next to her husband.

Mrs. Casey’s family would like to thank the staff at Gloucester House for the loving care they gave to their mother in her final days of life.
