Helen Reid Jackson Lemon, 92, widow of Norman Lemon, departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, in Walter Reed Convalescent Center.

She was a member of New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Gloucester.

Survivors include nieces, Josephine Griffin Banks of Gloucester, Sarah Crittenton, Brenda Simon (John), Otistine McIntyre of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Marion Furlow (the Rev. Clayton Furlow) of Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, and Everline Smith of Maryland; one nephew, Michael C. Reid of Atlanta, Georgia; many other great-nieces; great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Vincent Pryor at 1 p.m. on Saturday in New Mount Zion Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Lemon will be placed in the church at noon.
