Helen Mazzuca, 74, of Hayes, died on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital. Helen spent her early years as a military wife and stay-at-home mom, and later in life, she spent her days caring for her many grandchildren. She was a very family-oriented woman and enjoyed activities they all could be a part of, but she was especially fond of Bingo and attending craft shows. She was a huge fan of the TV show “Lost” and enjoyed listening to Neil Diamond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mazzuca; sister, Catherine Rife, and brother, Leon Dekowski. Survivors include her daughter, LeeAnn VanVranken and husband Scott; son, Ryan A. Mazzuca and wife Alison; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, and Ashlee VanVranken; Tyler and Jacob Mazzuca; Robbie Marks and wife Hannah, and Sarah Marks. The family will receive friends at Hogg Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 3-4 p.m. The funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Richard Croxton, will be held at Hogg Funeral Home on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
