Helen Louise “Grandma” Weakland, 80, of Hayes, died Sunday morning, Feb. 8, 2015, at her home with her beloved husband by her side.
Helen was born April 10, 1934, in Pennsylvania, where she grew up on a farm. After marrying Ray Weakland they operated a farm in New York. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Raymond Weakland; children, Ray Weakland, Gene Weakland and wife Brenda, Cindy Popek and husband Marc, and Ken Weakland and wife Patricia; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Helen was eagerly awaiting the arrival of a ninth great-grandchild.
