Helen Francis Brown, 88, of Mathews, affectionately known as “Miss Helen,” was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015. She departed this life quietly and peacefully after a brief illness.

She was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Mathews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Brown, and sons, Paul Burrell, Darnell Burrell, and Leonard Burrell.

Viewing will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at Forrest Brothers Funeral Home. Services will be conducted by the Rev E. Robinson, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Cobbs Creek, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, with interment following in the church cemetery.
