Heather Ann (Testaverde) Atwell, age 33, of Middlesex County, died July 20, 2020. Heather worked with Riverside Convalescent Center in Mathews as a CNA. There she cared and loved her residents as if they were her family. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room and a personality that was outgoing, loved to shop to buy pretty things. She was extremely kindhearted towards animals, especially cats, and would give you the shirt off her back. She is survived by her mother, Rosa Lathrop; stepfather, Carroll Smith Jr.; sister, Crystal Powell (J.D. Adams); two nieces, Alysa Powell, Ella Adams; nephew, R.J. Powell; her father, David Testaverde; her significant other, Ricky Bugg, and several aunts and uncles. The family received friends Wednesday, July 22, 2020, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required and social distancing is mandatory. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 23, 2020, in H.C. Smither Memorial Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Art Wolz.
