Heart Felt Touch opens Mathews location, starts nonprofit

Ginger Peer-Spencer, owner of Heart Felt Touch Massage Therapy in Gloucester, is celebrating 10 years in business this year.

Recently, Peer-Spencer quietly opened the doors to a second location in Mathews, offering services a few days a week while getting settled in the new space.

The Mathews team will offer all of Heart Felt Touch’s therapeutic services, including Tension Releasing Exercises, Compassionate Touch and Dementia Live classes. A grand opening and expansion of business hours is planned for February.

“Physical touch is healing, restorative and so much more than biological attention to our bodily needs, although that is absolutely critically important for our health and well-being,” said Peer-Spencer about her practice. “I believe physical touch is required and is at the essence of our humanity. A lifeline to love, intimacy and community with others.”
