The Mathews County Board of Supervisors and Mathews County Planning Commission will hold a joint public hearing on a request for a conditional use permit at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the historic courthouse on Court Street.

Pamela Mullins has requested a permit to allow a travel-trailer on a temporary basis at 1022 Church Street, Mathews. The property is zoned rural.

After the public hearing, the board of supervisors will adjourn and the planning commission will continue its regular meeting. Planning and Zoning Director Thomas Jenkins said he expects to discuss recent issues regarding temporary reception facilities in the county. ...
