A community-wide “Fall into Family Fitness” health fair is in the works for Mathews County, led by a six-member committee at Mathews Baptist Church, Hudgins.

The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church on Saturday, Sept. 23, and committee members are inviting health-related organizations and businesses to participate by having a booth at the event.

Pastor Brian Kramer and committee members Dawn Miller and Cathy Nelson said the booths will be free of charge. Attendance at the health fair, which being held as an outreach for the church, will also be free.

Rather than focusing on one particular segment of the population, said Miller, the fair will be for every age group, from children to seniors.
