A car wash/cookout fundraiser was held Saturday for Gloucester’s 12U baseball team, which placed second in the state tournament and will be advancing this week to the Cal Ripken Southeast Region Tournament, which began Wednesday in Fort Myers, Fla. Gloucester’s first game was set for 10 a.m. Wednesday against Lancaster Parks & Recreation from South Carolina. Gloucester’s next games are at 8 a.m. today against West Raleigh (N.C) and noon today vs. the Okeeheelee (Fla.) Indians. On Friday, Gloucester’s pool play will end with a noon game against Sanford, Fla., with championship bracket play starting Saturday.
