Hayes storage complex opens under new management

Safe Harbor Storage, a large self-storage complex on Route 17, Hayes, opened under a new name and new management in January.

The business, which had been owned for many years by the late Eldridge Cook, is now run by Wilson Creek Investments, LLC, an ownership group, said property manager Jeff Caulder of Hayes.

Safe Harbor has a total of 631 storage units, with conventional and standard sizes, as well as some climate-controlled units. There are a dozen sizes of self-storage units, Caulder said, as well as covered and uncovered secured spaces to store recreational vehicles and boats.

Customers come from the local area and from miles away, he said, with some keeping boats and RVs here to use when they are in town. Safe Harbor staff can accept package deliveries for clients and place them in the rental units, Caulder said.

The business also is a dealer for U-Haul truck and trailer rentals. He said customers can also rent hand trucks, dollys and mats for moving.
